The newly introduced device is equipped with a camera system co-engineered with the renowned German optics company, Zeiss. The smartphone also features an array of artificial intelligence (AI) tools designed to enhance and edit images.

The Vivo V40 is priced at Rs 34,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, Rs 36,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB model, and Rs 41,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB version. The smartphone is now available for purchase in India via the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart, and select retail outlets.

Under the Vivo Upgrade Program, the company is also providing up to a 10% exchange bonus for trade-ins using SBI, HDFC, Kotak Mahindra, and IDFC First Bank cards, among others. Additionally, Vivo is offering six months of complimentary accidental and liquid damage protection with the purchase of the smartphone. For offline buyers, a twelve-month zero-down payment option is available, while online shoppers can take advantage of a no-cost EMI plan for up to six months.

The Vivo V40 features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Based on Android 14, Funtouch OS 14 runs on it, and its 4 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC powers it. A 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging powers the device.
The smartphone includes a dual rear camera system co-engineered with Zeiss, consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Autofocus (AF), alongside a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens. For selfies and video calls, the Vivo V40 offers a 50-megapixel front camera. Connectivity options include 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port.
